You’ve probably all come across the term Niche marketing in your quest to find your perfect Side Hustle.I know the name “niche” doesn’t give you any idea of what it is, so here I will tell you everything you need to know.
Niche marketing is marketing a product in a “super” specific way using direct keywords. It’s easy to show you an example. Imagine you’re looking to buy some new shoes online would you type in search A or B into Google?

If you are like me, then you would use example B which is far more specific and will quickly get you the product you want “A gets you over 1 billion search results, imagine finding what you want amongst all that!!!”
So we will say that the advantage of niche marketing is that they target a specific customer.
Niche Business meaning
A niche business serves a specific need ie: Logo design as opposed to a store like Amazon which sells everything and is the complete opposite of a niche market.
A niche business can be online or offline here is an example of how a Gaming business may be marketed. You could create a gaming blog post reviewing your favourite console giving pros and cons about its speed, graphics, memory or whatever. You could then use affiliate links on your blog to advertise the console you’re using or the game you’re playing or your headset “so many options!”
You could also make money in the Gaming Niche by using a skill share website like Fiverr to advertise Gaming Coaching Lessons earning $20 per 1-hour tutorial.
Ideally, we want our niche products to be Evergreen! An Evergreen niche sells all year round and is not seasonal.

For this example, I will use Fiverr.com as these digital products are on trend and can be used for both Affiliates Marketing a Dropshipping and to also sell your skills on the Fiverr website.

Niche Marketing Examples
Here is an example of how I would choose a niche product to market via Dropshipping or Affiliate link. First I look at the list of top 10 trending categories from the list I will choose 3 keywords to investigate “I usually choose keywords which I know as it makes my marketing strategy much easier and faster than learning a new topic from scratch”
For this example, I chose WordPress SEO, Website design, and Logo design. My next step is to research the strength of the keywords so I type them into a free tool called Google Keyword Planner as you can see in the image below Wordpess SEO came out top with a +900% YoY “year-on-year change” but more importantly a 3-month change is +900% which shows there is continuing strong growth in the search term.
My last step is to see how much money there is to be made selling my skills so I search Fiverr for WordPress SEO experts. See the image below.
So now that we know SEO is the winner, having a good knowledge of this subject myself means I will start a profile on Fiverr and sell my skills after 1 last step.
The best niche marketing strategies are problem-solving ones. If you can identify and solve a trending problem with a valuable niche service or product you are onto a winner.
Finding these problems is easier than you may think. Take a moment and see what’s going on in the world today. One of the biggest problems people face is the energy crisis. What products or services can we market in this niche? Energy-saving products: low-cost solar panels or micro wind turbines?

In conclusion: It is essential we incorporate Niche Marketing Strategies into our various side hustle revenue streams. The research and knowledge gained from the niche marketing process are invaluable ie: finding upward-trending products in trending categories.
